Soccer Brawl on Free Infantry - Sunday 5 ... |
Hello everyone.
Big thank you to the kind guys at Free Infantry for getting a working version of Soccer Brawl up.
We've all missed it, and 5 days is enough notice - lets all try to find some time on Sunday at 5est to play it. If we start at 5est, maybe others will join 6est, or later as they become available.
Lets stick to public play, but if we get like 30 dudes (would be epic) maybe we can do some mix's. If we do mix, and I host, I will promise to ensure everyone in spec gets to play - we're no longer a league, the best don't need to be in every game, lets make sure everyone enjoys it.
See you Sunday. Or before, if you have time :). |

End of an Era |
SBL Season 19 playoffs were played last night, or not, I was personally unable to make it.
With that, we see the end of SBL on SOE.
Given the reduced players, and lack of attendance by most, I will not be strongly perusing free infantry for a league zone. If we get one though, I will try and organise some events once my life settles down a bit in a month or so, and of course you're all welcome to try and organise something yourself.
I currently host the website, and I will be keeping it up and active. Jacque has the domain name, and has recently paid for another year, but if he drops it in the future I will try and pick it up, but if in the future anything does go tits up, contact me on aim/msn or visit hundin.com and I'll use that as a forwarding site should shit go down.
All that's left to be said is that Infantry, specifically SBL has been for many of us (other than Dizze the old fart) a game that we've grown up with, and through that we've made tones of e-friends, found other games, and generally had a pretty good time. Yeah, recently we never really got the numbers we wanted, but SBL is still pretty damn fun.
Hopefully we can have a "reunion" in the near future and enjoy another game of soccer.
It's been fun guys - keep visiting the forums if you can. Who knows what might happen. |

SBL19, Week 7 Schedule |

A) Any Given Sunday vs. Squishy: 7:00 PM [eastern]
B) Absolute vs. Dogs Bollocks: 7:30 PM [eastern]
C) Winner A vs Winner B: 8:15 PM [eastern]
This will be the final weekend of SBL ever on SOE servers. The SBL Season 19 championship will be after it.
I will be relaxing the post-season rules. Anyone can play for any squad (but only one squad) if they're not on one of these squads.
I hope we can get as many people onto the game as possible for the final weekend. Mixes before from 4pm (I hope!). It's our last weekend, lets try and enjoy some soccer.
Maybe FreeInf will be our new home, if we can get players. |

SOE Infantry Shutdown |
Some of you may have got the email - SOE is closing Infantry.
Thankfully - we can finish our 6 week season, and play the SBL champs semis and finals all on the 7th week before the shutdown.
Because it's the final SOE season - i'm putting all 4 teams into the post season. 1v4, 2v3. winner vs winner, loser vs loser (if we have refs).
Please, enjoy what time we have left. We now have a definitive end date. Lets try and have some fun and enjoy the final 5 weeks.
I will of course see if Mode can get something up on free inf (or whatever they call it now) even if it's just for sunday night mixes in the future. |
